Whitsand Bay Cornwall

South East Cornwall Beach Guide

From Fowey to Plymouth, the South East Coast of Cornwall is laden with some of the best beaches in the UK. From the surfers paradise at Whitsand Bay to the quaint little coves in and around Looe and Polperro there really is a sandy cove to suit everyone. This section of the Cornish Coast is popular with sailors and foodies.

Another set of small sandy beaches can be found at Kingsand and nearby Cawsand, two very popular tourist destinations for families with children. Most of the beaches along this stretch of coast can become quite busy during the summer months, however some of the beaches including the eastern end of Downderry Beach are usually quieter as access is more restricted.
