This pretty little sheltered beach is a mix of sand and shingle and reveals some rocks and rock pools at low tide. The water is clean and very safe for all to enjoy a bathe and the surrounding countryside is lush woodland. There is evidence of a strong boating tradition in this bay as there are boats scattered around at all times.

The cove backs onto a typical Cornwall fishing village and some rustic traditional beach houses face the beach, along with some handy cafes, restaurant, shops and toilets whilst next door the twin village of Kingsand nestles into the headland. Parking is a few minutes walk from the beach, dogs are banned from Easter and October, there are disabled toilets and there is ramp access onto the beach.
