It gives you more choice for days out, while Helford Passage keeps you in a quieter riverside setting. Across the river, Helford village has a very different feel, with narrow lanes, cottages, waterside views and places to eat. The ferry between Helford Passage and Helford village makes the two places easy to combine when it is running. The South West Coast Path also runs nearby, linking river paths, coves and woodland sections around this part of south Cornwall. Falmouth adds museums, harbour trips, restaurants and town beaches, giving you a useful contrast to Helford Passage’s quieter riverside setting.
