Harlech Beach in Wales enjoys wonderful views of the Snowdonia mountains and stretches out for four-miles. It is covered with perfect, golden sand and stunning dunes, which are protected by the Morfa Harlech National Nature Reserve. This is a popular beach for families with children who come to enjoy its pristine waters.

At the southern end of the beach there is a shell covered island, called Shell Island and in the summer turtles migrate here to feed off jellyfish. There is no lifeguard service but swimming is safe. There is a paying car park, which lies 400 metres behind the beach. Restrictions apply regarding dogs on the beach from Easter to September.
