Criccieth Beach in Gwynedd

Criccieth Beach

Criccieth Beach

Criccieth Beach is very easy to get to on foot from the town and well worth the walk for its spectacular views across the bay and vistas over the 13th century castle that perches on the headland. This headland also provides shelter from westerly winds and the gentle shelving of the beach makes it perfect for young families.

It is in fact a great family beach with pristine sand and lots of rock pools. There is a promenade behind the beach with toilets, eateries and disabled access from the carpark which has lots of parking space. Please note dog restrictions apply from Easter to the end of September.
