Red Wharf Bay at low tide and there are grey clouds in the sky.

Red Wharf Bay

Red Wharf Bay

Red Wharf bay is also known as Traeth Coch Beach. It sits within a beautiful large bay area near Benllech and offers tons of space and lovely golden sand, especially when the tide is out. This is part of a nature reserve so it teams with marine life and aquatic birds, thanks to the surrounding dunes and marsh land.

As the village is so close it is easy to pop into the local pubs and restaurants for food and toilets. The beach allows dogs so is perfect for pet friendly holidays in Anglesey for families, couples or groups.
