With the sand 230 metres away, the apartment suits couples and families with young children for a surf-focused coastal break. Fistral Beach is renowned for its surf and is home to surf schools and board-hire shops along the beachfront. A cliff-top path leads across to Little Fistral and its surrounding coves, where sand and shingle spill out between barnacle-dotted rock pools – a quieter, more secluded contrast to the main bay. At low tide, a walk around the headland passes Newquay’s historic Huer’s Hut (0.5 miles) before reaching the town’s seven beaches. Pentire Headland lies to the north, offering further coastal walks.
