Seahouses is the main nearby starting point for Farne Islands boat trips, which are popular for wildlife, seabirds and seal watching.

There are also good options away from the immediate coast. Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden are within reach for a full day out, and the wider Northumberland Coast National Landscape offers plenty of walking routes, viewpoints and historic sites. Belford works well if you want a simple base with beaches, castles, boat trips and countryside all easy to plan into the same holiday.
