Somerset Beach Guide

Somerset has some wonderful broad beaches that are perfect for a day out with the family, to enjoy a long walk or indulge in water sports. The beaches that are considered the best in the region are Minehead Beach, most loved for its fine views over Wales, its great seaside facilities and golden sand making it ideal for dog friendly holidays. Next on the list comes the broad sandy seven mile long Brean Beach, which is especially popular for water sports including surfing. Our favourite of all is Blue Anchor Bay, which offers a perfect mix of soft sand, scattered with fossils and some great rock pools for the kids to explore.
