Our Aberdovey Holiday Homes by the Beach

Aberdovey is a popular coastal village in southern Eryri, set between the Dyfi Estuary and Cardigan Bay in Gwynedd. It is known for its long sandy beach, working harbour and strong links with sailing and watersports, which makes it a good choice for a traditional seaside holiday. The village also works well as a base for exploring nearby places such as Tywyn, Machynlleth and Ynyslas, while the wider Eryri area gives you easy access to mountain scenery as well.

Our collection of Aberdovey beach cottages suits different kinds of stay, from family holidays by the sand to quieter breaks for couples and trips with large groups of friends or relatives. The sea view cottages are especially popular here because of the beach, estuary and harbour setting, with the most sought after ones often booked well in advance. Dog friendly cottages are also popular in Aberdovey, especially for guests who want easy access to the beach and the surrounding coastal walks.

There is plenty to do during a stay. Aberdyfi is a well known centre for sailing and watersports, with crab fishing from the jetty, scenic boat trips and kayaking all adding to the appeal. If you are bringing a dog, it is worth knowing that restrictions apply on the section of beach in front of the main car park from 1 April to 30 September, but dogs are allowed in most other areas of the beach.
