On the edge of Brixham is Shoalstone Beach, where the outdoor seawater swimming pool, built into the rocky foreshore is always popular. In the town there is a good selection of shops and restaurants, many offering freshly caught fish. In Brixham, just yards from the South Devon Coast Path, is Monkbarns. This smart single storey cottage comprises a neat kitchen, smart lounge/diner and bedroom with balcony from which there are views over the surrounding town and glimpses of the sea through the trees.
