We love how this beautiful Victorian home pairs its original character and elegance with contemporary spaces and sophisticated modern décor. The views over the bay are superb, and there's a very pretty courtyard garden with sunny spots, shade, and seating.

The gorgeous sitting room's bay window faces the sea, giving a panoramic vantage across the water and coastline which can be enjoyed from both the sofa and armchairs. Tasteful furnishings, two original cast iron fireplaces, and paintings, lend a lovely atmosphere to the room, and a smart TV provides entertainment for the evenings. Folding doors open to the dining area and kitchen creating a large space for socialising, with the sea views forming the backdrop for meals. On warm days, doors leading from the kitchen to the garden can be hooked open, allowing access outside while letting plenty of fresh air in.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms, a lovely double and a spacious master bedroom with its own bay window and the same fantastic sea views as downstairs. This floor also has a large family bathroom with a walk-in shower cubicle and a freestanding bathtub. One floor up, there are two more bedrooms, including a lovely double with an en-suite shower room, and an adjoining single, making this floor perfectly suited to families.

Bay House is within easy reach of Brixham's harbour and town below, as well as to the coast path which leads to Fishcombe Cove, Churston Cove, Elberry Cove and Broadsands Beach. The town's best restaurants are minutes on foot, including Rockfish, Beamers, La Petit Maison, Albero's and Simply Fish. Wander the seafront past the marina and on to Breakwater Beach – a picturesque crescent of white pebbles with turquoise water, and a fantastic beachside bistro. Visit nearby Berry Head Nature Reserve for a gentle stroll, panoramic views across Torbay, and a cream tea at The Guardhouse Café.

A short car trip takes you to National Trust's Coleton Fishacre, Kingswear, and Dartmouth, which can be reached via car or foot ferry over the River Dart, while Totnes and Dartington Hall are around 30 minutes by car.
