Sandown Beach

Sandown Beach

Sandown Beach

Sandown Beach offers a stretch of gently shelving sand and lies on the east coast of the Isle of Wight, near the resorts of Shanklin and Ventnor. Sandown is very popular with families and surfers because it offers such a wide range of activities, including a pleasure pier, a fairground, amusement arcades, water sports, miles of fine golden sand and great waves for surfing.

Between the esplanade, promenade and the pier there are toilets with disabled facilities, a first aid point, seaside cafes, shops, amusements, crazy golf, trampolines, fish and chips, deck chairs, sun loungers and windbreaks. Those who like water sports can choose from jet-skiing, surfing, wind surfing and swimming under the watchful eye of the lifeguards.
